Thank you. I loved the Valentine’s Day present. Have you read The Island of Missing Trees?

I read it last year, and really liked it, especially the descriptions of using different languages, and the point of view of the tree.

I have a copy of Sweet Sorrow as yet unread on my shelf and I’m looking forward to reading You are here- saving it for my holiday. Still Life is amazing but that was read last year. Favourites this year, so far are The Baker’s Secret by Lelita Baldock and a Heart’s Invisible Furies by John Boyne. The Island of Missing Trees is on my wish list, so… ☺️

Thanks for the giveaway Liz! 👏

My favourite read this year so far was @jenniegodfrey's 'The List of Suspicious Things'.

Such a lovely pace to the story, I really enjoyed it. 🥰

I've only read 'The Island of Missing Trees' from your list but all 5 sound terrific. My favourite this year is probably 'The Redemption of Isobel Farrar' by Alan Robert Clark. I couldn't fault it and if you're looking for an example of a novel which is a masterclass in structure, that one's it.

So many good recommendations to add to my reading list! My favourite read so far this year has definitely been Still Life by Sarah Winman. Fell for it hook, line and sinker - the characters still feel alive to me months after I finished it 🩷
